Today was Monday the 11th of November, the end of the 1st World War which means I did not have school. It was pretty cold out today so I didn't feel like going out. I decided that my project for the day would be lights. I have always loved light art and pretty much anything to do with lights so I took a bunch of pictures of all the different lights in my apartment. Here are a few:

High School...
My whole life i've been really excited to start high school (which starts a year later in France 10th grade in the states) and finally i'm going to my third month and I wanna go back to Junior High.
Today was actually the first day I was proud to say that I am using my student voice and education for a reason. Since high school started I told my self that I would be serious this year: I was gonna work hard and go out less. chill less etc and I definitely have been working harder, a lot harder compared to my previous years but I haven't really done anything i'm really proud of yet until today.
Let me skip back to a month ago. Two students that were here (in France) illegally got thrown out out of their school and deported to where they "should be." After hearing that students were revolted, they decided to take a stand and not go to school until something had changed. An they stuck to their decision because all week all my friends that were in public schools did what we call "blocus" they get to school at 6:30 bringing everything they can find (garbage cans, fences etc) and block the entry to school so that no one could get in. We being a private school have not had the chance to do one of these so called blocus. The two weeks of break passed and this week people were still manifesting in the streets. We got sick and tired of not participating (even though my first saturday morning of vacation I woke up at 6AM to help my freinds that had school that morning) and decided to do a blocus of our own most of my friends got there at 6:30 trying to get there before any teachers and put the garbage cans up. And that is how when I got there at 9:30 Massillon had had their first blocus !! The first march went from the three fellow schools that I regrouped all at Massillon when our blocus was getting weak and we needed help from the more experienced and we went to Republique. From Republic the march actually started at 1pm and so many schools were there. Most of my classmates thought changed their mind and decided to go back to school for the afternoon. Half way through the march I felt a feeling of euphoria because finally I was there with all the others, I was finally taking a stand and missing school in order for my voice to be heard. I had wanted to take that stand for so long but I knew that if I had done it alone it wouldn't have changed anything. I stayed the longest, cried the loudest and jumped the highest. I finally felt that as a student I had done something useful towards another student
